RepNation has created this Privacy Policy in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to helping our representatives better understand what information we collect about them and what may happen to that information
The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices
RepNation Terms of Service Agreement
We will closely guard any personally identifiable information You disclose to us during registration or at any other point during your RepNation experience. Information will only be shared with a third party if a representative requests for that information to be shared, by participating in a Program. A representative may request that this information be shared, by opting-in to programs or newsletters that may require information such as, but not be limited to, first name, last name, occupation, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, selected interests, or date of birth. Not all Programs specify exactly which pieces of information will be shared. All defined terms contained herein shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the Terms of Service Agreement.
Information Collection and Use
RepNation is the sole owner of the information collected on the RepNation Sites, and from its licensed software. RepNation will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. RepNation collects information from its representatives at several different points on the RepNation Website. RepNation may share aggregated and anonymous demographic and statistical information with its business partners, but no such information can be linked directly to You or your account. On the RepNation Website, You will be granted the option of allowing RepNation as well as clients of RepNation the ability to contact You regarding Programs for which you qualify. Further, RepNation hereby disclaims all responsibility and liability should a client of RepNation contact You directly by virtue of your posting of personal information on the RepNation Website in a section where it was not explicitly requested, which is viewable and/or accessible by clients of RepNation (e.g., contact information listed on your resume). Furthermore, RepNation may need to disclose personally identifiable information of representatives when required by law.
Registration
In order to use the RepNation Website, a representative must first complete the registration form on the “Sign Up” page. During registration a representative is required to provide their contact information (including, but not limited to, name, e-mail address, and postal address), additional psychographic information, and information needed for shipping prizes once RepRewards have been redeemed. This information is used to notify the representative about new Programs, RepRewards, and changes in RepReward offerings. In addition, we ask the representatives to provide legitimate proof of address. Proof of address is required in order to guard RepNation from fraudulent activities. This information is also used for shipping purposes for prizes redeemed by representatives
Your Account
Once You become a representative of RepNation, You will receive a password and an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account. Therefore we do not recommend that You disclose your RepNation password or account information to any third parties. If You choose to share this information with third parties, You are responsible for all actions taken with your account information and password and therefore should review each third party's privacy policy. If You lose control of your password, You may lose substantial control over your personally identifiable information and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on your behalf. Therefore, if your password has been compromised for any reason, You should immediately change your password. Furthermore, You are entirely responsible for any and all activities that occur under your account. You agree to immediately notify RepNation of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security known to the representative.
Cookies
Like most Websites, the RepNation Website uses cookies to keep track of your activity on the RepNation Website and enhance your experience on the RepNation Website. We also use cookies to save your account information and password, and if you choose, to save other personal information so you do not have to reenter it each time you visit the RepNation Website. If you wish to disable these cookies, the “help” portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how. However, if you set your browser to disable cookies, you may not be able to access certain areas on the RepNation Website.
Log Files
We do track certain information such as type of browser and log on time for our own use. We use this information only to track where our representatives may be coming from and what type of software they are using. We keep this information so we can continuously improve our representatives’ online experience and improve the RepNation Website. None of this information can ever be traced back to any specific person and is useful only to RepNation.
Security
We work to protect your information by using Secure Socket Layers (SSL) software to encrypt your information when it is being transmitted to us. Access to data is limited through the use of internal firewalls and strictly enforced. When representatives submit information via the RepNation Website, your information is protected both online and off-line. While we use both passwords and account information to protect information online, we also do everything in our power to protect representatives’ information off-line. All of our representatives’ information is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment and professionally maintained. You are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and/or any account information. Please be careful and responsible whenever You are online.
Special Offers and e-mail
We send all new representatives a welcoming e-mail to verify password and account information. Established representatives will occasionally receive e-mails containing information regarding new Programs, RepRewards, and directives from RepNation if they have opted-in. “Opted-in” means the representative has approved certain e-mails to be sent to them from RepNation.
RepNation Website and Service Announcements
Under rare circumstances RepNation may need to contact specific or all representatives in order to make an important announcement about the RepNation Website or service changes. Representatives are not able to unsubscribe, or “opt-in/opt-out” of these announcements because they may contain very important information regarding their accounts. Before these measures are taken, however, RepNation will post information regarding changes directly on the RepNation Website. RepNation reserves the right to contact representatives to correct account errors or to supply important information RepNation deems relevant.
Correction/Updating Personal Information
RepNation representatives are able to change their personal information at any time. The fastest way to change personal information is to log on and simply click on “Edit Profile” page.
Age/Residency Requirements
Effective April 21, 2000, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) mandated that all websites must be in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). While the RepNation Website is not directed at children under the age of fourteen (14), You must be at least 14 years old, be a United States or Canadian resident, and have a valid e-mail address to enroll with RepNation. Enrollment and participation in a Program is open to individuals only (no corporations or other legal entities). Each individual who enrolls in a Program is responsible for providing this information requested herein and for updating any such information to insure its accuracy. Receipt of inaccurate or misleading information will adversely affect the ability of RepNation to operate a Program and provide services to clients required by representatives and participants. In this regard, RepNation reserves the right to terminate a representative’s membership in a Program if misleading or intentionally incorrect personal information is provided. RepNation reserves the right to modify or discontinue a Program with or without notice to representatives. RepNation will not be liable to any representative or any third party should RepNation exercise its right to modify or discontinue a Program.
Termination
Either the representative or RepNation may terminate the Service with or without cause at any time and effective immediately. RepNation will not be liable to the representative or any third party for termination of the Service.
RepRewards
RepRewards awarded under the Program shall have no cash value. RepRewards may be used only for the redemption of prizes offered through redemption sites located on the RepNation Website, or through a company licensing the RepNation software. The number of RepRewards awarded for each Program in which a representative participates shall be determined by the participating client and RepNation. RepRewards earned by a representative are for that representative’s account only and cannot be transferred or combined with other representatives’ RepRewards for any purpose. RepNation reserves the right to modify the Program and/or future RepRewards for various types of transactions by providing notice of such modifications on the RepNation Website or through a company licensing the RepNation software. RepNation further reserves the right to modify, add to, or reduce the redemption sites, merchandise, and services available for redemption by making such modifications, additions, or deletions on the RepNation Website.
Notice
RepNation may change this Privacy Policy from time to time based on your comments and our need to accurately reflect our data collection and disclosure practices, which may also change from time to time. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE PRIVACY POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER FOR THE SERVICE, NOR SHOULD YOU SIGN UP AS A REPNATION REPRESENTATIVE. THE PRIVACY POLICY IS SUBJECT TO CHANGES MADE BY US, AT ANY TIME, EFFECTIVE UPON NOTICE TO YOU, WHICH NOTICE SHALL BE DEEMED TO HAVE BEEN PROVIDED UPON OUR POSTING OF THE CURRENT VERSION OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY ON THE REPNATION WEBSITE.
